Testimonials

  • I am a Merrick local and have had my three girls at Dance Arts since they were three. They started with ballet and have branched out as they got older into Jazz and Hip Hop. The instructors that they have had at Dance Arts are patient with the little ballerinas and encouraging with the older ones. My girls have already learned so much and my oldest daughter constantly puts on dance shows at home using all that she has learned in her seven years of dancing. Family owned and operated for over 35 years, I highly recommend this dance studio for any age or ability.

  • My daughter has been dancing at Dance Arts for 10 years and takes classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and pointe. Because of her dedicated and talented teachers at Dance Arts, she has not only become a beautiful, talented dancer; she has also developed confidence, grace, and poise. Thank you Dance Arts!

  • I never expected when I signed my daughter Alexa up for her ballet class 12 years ago that Dance Arts would become such an important part of my family’s life. Dance Arts has taught her and her sister Angie so many valuable skills and performance techniques as well as tenacity, grace and passion for dance. We throughly enjoy being a part of the Dance Arts family. We find the teachers inspiring, the recitals amazing and the friendships we all have made are priceless.

  • My mom brought me to Dance Arts for my ballet class when I was two years old. Today, 17 years later, I am proud to say Dance Arts remains a pivotal part of my life. Dance Arts provided me with the opportunity to become a diverse dancer, offering styles ranging from ballet to hip-hop to precision kick line. In each class I honed in on my technical skills, developed my own artistry and acquired a unique performance quality. The continued guidance and encouragement of my positive and talented teachers made this possible. As a result of my training at Dance Arts, I have had the privilege of performing with Joffrey Ballet School in NYC for the past three summers. Additionally, Dance Arts prepared me to dance in college as part of the Stonehill College Dance Company in MA. Even more importantly, Dance Arts aided in my growth as a person. I am a creative thinker, a team collaborator, and a confident and poised individual. Dance Arts also prompted my love of teaching, for I student taught at the studio for 5 years. As a result of this treasured experience, I am happy to say I am pursuing a teaching career alongside my dance career. Dance Arts encompasses great technique, character building and a familial atmosphere. The bonds formed between all members of Dance Arts, students and teachers alike, are so strong, creating a place of warmth, inspiration and support. Growing up at Dance Arts has been a gift; the studio truly holds a special place in my heart. I look forward to many more years at Dance Arts, for our studio created the person and dancer I am today, and for that I am forever grateful!

  • My daughter Danielle has been with Dance Arts for 5 years now. We came from another studio and from the day I was amazed at the difference. She was actually learning to dance! The grace and self-confidence she has received there not only affects her dancing, but her being as well. I would recommend this studio, and do, to anyone who is interested in dancing. The atmosphere is friendly and professional. The teachers are wonderful with the students and actively participate in dance with them. It is great to watch my daughter break into a dance every time she hears music, feeling as if she is the best dancer in the world!

  • My daughter Catherine has been at Dance Arts for 5 years. I never thought she would stick with dancing, but she proved me wrong. Instead of leaving, she adds new classes every year. She always takes a summer class to challenge herself. She loves all of the teachers, and the staff is so incredible. I cannot say enough good things about the school.

  • I have been a member of the Dance Arts family for over 25 years. I began dancing at Dance Arts as a young child, learning the basic techniques of ballet and later taking classes in all the subjects the studio offered. Dancing opened many doors for me as a young adult. I enjoyed every moment I spent dancing at Dance Arts and became a dance instructor, working in the studio up until I had children of my own. Now, my four year old daughter takes ballet lessons at Dance Arts and loves it as much as I do. All of Dance Arts’ instructors are kind, patient, and professional. They see the bright star in each child and encourage each to shine. I would recommend this studio to anyone wishing their child to develop the poise and grace dance inspires.

  • I just want to thank Miss Donna and her wonderful teachers for the kindness and compassion they gave my niece in her time of sorrow. My niece has such a passion for dance and Miss Donna has helped her accomplish that. I believe her dance lessons have helped her to be more focused in school. Being able to follow directions has helped her to be on the Honor Roll all year. Dance has helped her tremendously with her posture. I just see all the great things that come out of her taking dance lessons. Her goal is to be a student teacher here. Miss Donna’s dance studio produces great dancers who want to stay and be teachers themselves. The recital at the end of the year is “unbelievable.” I felt like I was at a Broadway show, and each number was spectacular. I recommend Dance Arts to everyone I know. The teachers are wonderful! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. You couldn’t ask for a better place to take your daughters for dance lessons. I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for us.
