Adult Fitness Classes

Summer classes start Monday, July 7th!

  • Click here for schedule.
  • Drop in, but registration required.  Register through the portal via the Dance Arts app or click here  to access/create your account.
  • $20 per class (Cash or Venmo only @DanceArts-Merrick – will say James Dale and have our Dance Arts logo). Pay as you go. No credit cards accepted.
  • Adults 18 and older.

BeMoved Express

  • BeMoved classes are designed to be accessible to individuals of all levels, including those who are new to dance. 
  • The program offers a wide range of dance genres, from Bollywood to Broadway, to cater to different tastes and preferences. 
  • BeMoved emphasizes the joy of movement and the power of dance as a way to express oneself and improve overall well-being. 
  • BeMoved classes provide a way to get a full-body workout, explore different dance styles, and express oneself through music and movement while enjoying a supportive and inclusive environment. 
  • Class is 30 min.

Cardio Dance Fitness

  • Fun, energetic workout that combines dance-inspired movements with cardiovascular exercise, set to upbeat music. This class is designed to get your heart rate up, burn calories, and improve overall fitness while enjoying a lively atmosphere.
  • All levels welcome, no experience necessary. Our class is designed to be accessible to all fitness levels, with modifications available as needed. 
  • This dance-based format makes exercise feel less like a chore and more like a party. 
  • Class is 1 hour.

Power Flow Yoga 

  • This is an all level flow, geared towards building heat and strength. 
  • Vinyasa yoga links the breath with continuous movement, offering physical benefits for our health and mental
    well-being.  
  • Flow through the poses for balance and flexibility.
  • Class is 1 hour.

Mommy (Parent )Moves (2-12 months)

  • Mommy Moves is a fitness class that provides a unique opportunity for parents and caregivers to bond with their babies through the joy of dance. 
  • The class focuses on incorporating babywearing into various movements like swaying, stepping, and bouncing, while also providing a fun and social environment for parents. 
  • Babywearing dance classes offer a chance for parents and caregivers to connect with each other, sharing experiences and building a support network. 

  • The class provides a unique workout experience, boosts endorphins, and can help with postpartum recovery. 

  • Participants are encouraged to bring their preferred baby carrier, but holding the baby is also an option. 
  • Class is 45 min.
